Hand cut fries


  • 3-5 potatoes (suitable for roasting)
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • Glug of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius
  2. Peel and cut potatoes into chunky chips
  3. Drop the potatoes into a plastic bag and add the flour, cumin, rosemary pepper and chilli powder in on top
  4. Shake to mix
  5. Add in a healthy glug of oil and shake again until the chips are coated in oil
  6. Place in a single layer in an oven tray (you might need to use two) and cook for 60 minutes or until golden brown, turning once or twice throughout
  7. Serve with dip of your choice
