Broccoli Chinese style


  • Glug of vegetable oil
  • 1 head of broccoli – cut into florets
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Handful of peanuts


  1. Get a wok or pan screaming hot
  2. Add the oil and the broccoli and toss to coat
  3. Cook on the highest heat possible, tossing occasionally for about 4 minutes
  4. Drop in the oyster sauce, minced garlic and peanuts then season to taste
  5. Take photos and tag @vaguelyvegetarian on Instagram
  6. Bask in social media glory
