
Despite what you might have heard, hummus is ridiculously easy to make. Ignore what the internet tells you about cooking the chickpeas first, throw everything in a blender, whizz it up and adjust the ingredients as required
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 2 Tbsp tahini
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- Juice of one lemon
- Cold water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Add everything into the blender
- Pour in a small amount of cold water
- Blend up and add more water until you have nailed a thick consistency
- Taste and add extra lemon, garlic, tahini, salt and/or pepper if required
- Serve by drizzling olive oil into the centre and dropping in some whole chickpeas
